Gathering Greens and Herbs from God’s Garden

The main themes of this book in a list in order of importance are:
-To help one recognize readily, through appropriate description and photos, as many as possible edible wild greens and herbs (key components of the Mediterranean diet) avoiding safely the poisonous ones
-After safe gathering of the greens and herbs to insure their safe consumption. So, for each edible plant there is reference for gathering season, ways of eating, about its beneficial to human health, how much delicious or delectable it is and above all if it has negative effects
when consumed in excess
-Reference to the nutritional value of the plants that are consumed most often and information about ways of propagation of edible plants necessary to those who want to cultivate them
-For the most demanding readers, knowledge about origin, distribution, habitat and ecology for all reported plants (edible and poisonous)
-Common and scientific names of all reported plants with their botanic classification and reference to the herbs used by Dioscorides and to those reported by Theophrastus (successor of Aristotle in the “walking school”)
